Toronto Dogs Get Their Own Night Out at Kimpton Saint George’s Barks & Brews
National Dog Day is getting a Toronto-style celebration as Kimpton Saint George Hotel welcomes pups and their people back to Barks & Brews.
On August 27, 2026 (Thursday), the Bloor Street West hotel will turn its pet-friendly space into an evening of dog-friendly drinks, local pet brands, live portraits, and plenty of chances for four-legged guests to steal the spotlight.
The annual gathering invites Toronto dog lovers to enjoy a relaxed night with pets in mind. Guests can expect drinks, local brands, portraits, and fun activities that make the evening feel like a celebration.

A Night of Brews, Portraits, and Pups
Barks & Brews gives guests plenty of ways to enjoy the evening with their four-legged friends. Human attendees can sample pours from Avling, while dogs can try a pet-friendly beer from The Barking Brew.
One of the more personal activities will be the live pet portrait station. Guests can capture a special moment with their pups and take home a keepsake from the evening.
Several local pet-focused businesses will even be part of the event. Gift bag partners include Northern Dog Treats, Bone & Biscuit, K9 Floss Boss, Loopa Pets, and Dandylion. Visitors can meet brands such as Nutricanine and REIN at pet brand pop-ups throughout the night.
For dogs that enjoy a little attention, there is an opportunity to compete in the Best-Dressed Pooch competition. Pups can show off their most creative looks for an opportunity to win a special prize pack from Ren’s Pets.
Instead of leaving their dogs at home, guests can bring them along, meet other animal lovers, discover local pet products, and have quality time. As the organizers put it, Barks & Brews is “a night where every tail has a story.”
More Than Just a Night Out
While the focus is on celebrating dogs, Barks & Brews provides everyone a chance to help animals in need. Guests are asked to make a donation to the Toronto Humane Society when they RSVP.
The organization works to improve the lives of animals through services that include sheltering, adoption, veterinary care, and community support. That charitable element gives the evening a purpose beyond drinks, portraits, and puppy fashion.
