Funny For Money Comedy Fundraiser Returns to Comedy Bar This November
Funny For Money Toronto comedy fundraiser returns to Comedy Bar Bloor on Sunday, November 15, raising money for an anonymous community member facing medication and other essential expenses.
Organized by DGSPECIAL Productions, the 90-minute show pairs a ticketed comedy night with a direct local fundraiser. Guests can buy a seat, donate separately or do both.
A comedy show built around direct community help
The official Comedy Bar listing says the beneficiary has faced a series of difficult circumstances and needs help covering medication and other expenses. The person has chosen to remain anonymous, so the event keeps the focus on practical support rather than personal details.
That gives the evening a clear purpose without turning the show into a hard sell. Audiences get a full comedy program, while ticket purchases and optional donations help ease a specific financial strain for someone in the community.
The submitted lineup
DGSPECIAL’s submission names Toronto comedians Ava Val, Ruth Milkin and Carolyn Chalmers for the November 15 performance. Ava Val has released the stand-up specials So Brave and Face to Face, bringing a personal, sharply observed voice to the bill.
