Holiday Magic 2026 Returns to Bloor-Yorkville with Molly Johnson and Festive Events
The holiday season is coming to Toronto as Holiday Magic 2026 returns to Bloor-Yorkville on November 21. This year’s free community celebration will feature an outdoor concert by iconic Canadian jazz vocalist Molly Johnson, the annual holiday lighting ceremony, and festive activities throughout the neighbourhood.
Hosted by the Bloor-Yorkville Business Improvement Area (BY BIA), the event will take place from 5 PM to 7 PM at Cumberland Street and Village of Yorkville Park. Hosted by television personality Melissa Grelo, the evening will also support The Common Table, a community initiative operated by the Church of the Redeemer.

Molly Johnson Headlines Holiday Magic 2026
One of the main highlights of Holiday Magic 2026 is a special performance by Canadian jazz vocalist Molly Johnson.
Known for her distinctive mix of jazz, soul, and original songwriting, Johnson has built a celebrated music career spanning several decades. She has released nine studio albums, including the holiday album It’s A Snow Globe World (2021), and is known for songs such as “Miss Celie’s Blues,” “Inner City Blues,” and “Lucky.”
Her achievements include two JUNO Awards, the Governor General’s Award, the Order of Canada, and the Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
Her latest album, Talk to Me, features collaborations with Haviah Mighty and Jim Cuddy, along with new recordings that include her holiday single, “Holiday.”
Before Johnson takes the stage, the Senior Choir of The Rosedale Day School will perform under the direction of Toronto-based music educator and conductor Carlene Brown.
The Annual Flick the Switch Lighting Ceremony
Holiday Magic will also feature Bloor-Yorkville’s annual Flick the Switch Lighting Ceremony, officially welcoming the holiday season to the neighbourhood.
Following the November 21 celebration, festive holiday lighting will brighten Bloor-Yorkville from November 21 through December 31, 2026.
Visitors can enjoy the seasonal displays while exploring the area’s shops, restaurants, cafés, galleries, and cultural attractions. The event also gives residents and visitors an opportunity to experience the neighbourhood during one of its busiest holiday periods.

Candy Cane Carolers Bring Holiday Music to Bloor-Yorkville
The festive celebrations will continue in December with performances by the Candy Cane Carolers.
The group will bring holiday music to the neighbourhood through two sets of strolling performances on the following dates:
- December 4–6, 2026
- December 11–13, 2026
- December 18–20, 2026
- December 22–23, 2026
Known for their energetic four-part a cappella harmonies, the Candy Cane Carolers perform more than 60 traditional and contemporary holiday arrangements. The group has also appeared in Netflix holiday films, including Christmas Inheritance and The Holiday Calendar.
Their performances will add more seasonal music to Bloor-Yorkville throughout December.
Fleurs de Villes JOYEUX Makes Its Toronto Debut
Another holiday highlight arrives from December 2–6, 2026, as Fleurs de Villes presents JOYEUX, a free, self-guided floral trail making its Toronto debut in Bloor-Yorkville.
The showcase will feature more than 15 fresh floral installations created by some of Toronto’s favourite florists. Visitors can expect the brand’s signature floral mannequins, decorated entryways, and other floral displays inspired by the joy of the holiday season.
Free and open to the public, the trail offers another reason to explore the neighbourhood during the festive season. Visitors can walk through the installations at their own pace while enjoying the surrounding shops, restaurants, and attractions.
Holiday Magic Supports The Common Table
Beyond the entertainment and seasonal displays, Holiday Magic also shines a spotlight on The Common Table, a grassroots community initiative operated by the Church of the Redeemer near Avenue Road and Bloor Street West.
The initiative provides essential support, dignity, and connection to some of the community’s most vulnerable individuals.
Through its support of The Common Table, Holiday Magic brings a community-focused purpose to the annual celebration and highlights the importance of helping people who need support throughout the year.
