The new store will occupy a 31,000-square-foot space at 26 Edward Street, a site formerly home to the World’s Biggest Bookstore. Situated near the Toronto Metropolitan University campus, Sankofa Square, and the Eaton Centre, this central location promises to serve students, residents, and downtown shoppers alike.

T&T’s newest location will feature:
- Street food options, including Taiwanese-style stuffed rice rolls and popcorn chicken.

Strategic Expansion
T&T Supermarket, owned by Loblaw Companies, has been growing rapidly across Canada and into the United States. CEO Tina Lee shared that the decision to expand downtown stemmed from the popularity of their College and Spadina location and strong demand for delivery services in the Yonge-Dundas area.

The chain operates 36 locations across Canada and recently opened its first U.S. store in Bellevue, Washington, in late 2023. Plans are underway for additional U.S. stores by 2025.
