1 Dead After Shooting in Surrey’s Fleetwood Neighbourhood
A man is dead after a broad-daylight shooting in Surrey’s Fleetwood neighbourhood on Wednesday, marking the city’s third homicide of 2025.

Police responded to reports of gunfire around 3:45 p.m. PT at a small business complex on the 15900 block of 84 Avenue, across from the Fleetwood Community Centre.
Victim Died at the Scene

When officers arrived, they found a man with life-threatening injuries. Despite emergency efforts from both police and paramedics, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has now taken over the case.
“While the motive is still under investigation, the incident does not appear linked to any ongoing investigations,” said a spokesperson from Surrey Police Service (SPS).

Photos show heavily armed officers, including members of the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team, surrounding the complex. Multiple police vehicles and ambulances were also seen on-site.

This is the third reported homicide in Surrey so far this year. Police have not released the victim’s identity or confirmed any arrests.
