Supporting Artists Where They’re At

What sets Menagerie apart is its mission. At many markets, vendor fees and corporate sponsorships shape the experience. But Menagerie is different.

“Many of our vendors are brand-new artists or first-time sellers who told me they signed up because it finally felt approachable,” said founder Jazel dela Paz, a 23-year-old artist and the market’s solo organizer.
“As someone who almost gave up before each event, I can say it’s their belief — and the community’s — that keeps this going.”
The market keeps vendor costs low by only covering the essentials, things like rentals, permits, accessibility, and signage, making space for underrepresented artists and first-time entrepreneurs who may not be able to afford bigger markets.
Built By Community, For Community

Menagerie Market runs without corporate backers or a big organizing team. Instead, Jazel leads the charge herself, with the support of friends, family, and volunteers who help bring the event to life on market days.

“We’re not backed by corporate sponsors or a big team. I organize and run everything solo, with the help of some amazing friends, family, and volunteers on market days. It’s all part of the vision: to create a space where artists don’t feel like they’re facing it all alone.”
More Than Just a Market

Menagerie Markets‘ core mission is to create low-barrier spaces where artists and entrepreneurs can sell, connect, and be celebrated not just as vendors, but as people.
If you’re looking to experience Toronto’s creative energy in full force, Menagerie Market 2025 at The Bentway is where you’ll find it. Spend the weekend supporting local artists, shopping unique finds, and soaking in the city’s vibrant community spirit.
