Presented by the Toronto Downtown West BIA and TIFF, Downtown Movies in the Park celebrates TIFF’s 50th anniversary with a summer series curated by TIFF CEO Cameron Bailey.

An Opening Night Fit for a Festival

On Wednesday night, film fans can expect a lively evening of pre-show performances, crowd energy, and classic concessions. Keith Bennie, Vice President of Public Programming at TIFF, will introduce the film, adding an extra layer of TIFF magic to the evening. Before the screening, Hit & Run Productions will take the stage at 8:45 p.m., featuring a dynamic trio of dancers bringing some of cinema’s most iconic characters to life.
Of course, it wouldn’t be TIFF without its famous popcorn, plus there’ll be cold drinks, cotton candy, and sweet treats available on site. The Princess Bride will begin at 9:30 p.m., complete with open captions, making it an inclusive outdoor movie night for all.
