GORDO and Francis Mercier Bring Taraka’s Outdoor Electronic Showcase to Toronto’s Port Lands
Toronto’s Port Lands will become the setting for a major electronic music event this September as Taraka Presents GORDO & Francis Mercier arrives for a one-day outdoor showcase.
Taking place on Sunday, September 6, 2026, the event will bring together internationally recognized DJs, large-scale production, curated hospitality, and a purpose-built venue layout designed for electronic music fans.
Presented by Full Circle Presents, Future, and Puzzle Entertainment, the showcase follows the success of the Black Coffee Toronto event, which brought more than 10,000 guests to the Port Lands and introduced a new format for large-scale electronic music events in the city.
GORDO Leads the Toronto Lineup
The event will be headlined by GORDO, the producer and DJ known for his work across the global electronic music scene.
The artist gained additional recognition through his collaborations with Drake, including production on six tracks from Honestly, Nevermind. His Taraka concept has become known for combining electronic music performances with carefully designed venues and production elements.
Joining GORDO is Francis Mercier, a DJ and producer recognized for his Afro House sound and international performances.
Together, the two artists will bring their distinct approaches to electronic music to Toronto for a special Labour Day weekend event.
Taraka Creates a New Port Lands Format
Taraka Toronto will introduce a custom-built outdoor venue designed around the audience rather than a traditional front-facing stage setup.
The event will feature:
- A central stage with a 360-degree layout
- Elevated VIP viewing platforms
- Dedicated hospitality areas
- Large-scale sound, lighting, and visual production
- Food programming from The Food Dudes
The production team behind the event is continuing the approach introduced during the Black Coffee showcase while adding updates to venue operations, guest movement, and on-site amenities.
Music, Hospitality, and Food Come Together
Beyond the performances, Taraka will include a range of food and beverage options designed for a full-day event.
Guests can enjoy culinary offerings from The Food Dudes, along with premium hospitality areas and additional guest services throughout the venue.
The event will run from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM, allowing attendees to enjoy an afternoon-to-evening electronic music program at the Port Lands.
