The CNE 2026 Concert Lineup Is Turning Up the Volume This Summer
If your ideal summer day involves carnival rides, midway snacks, and a live concert before heading home, the 2026 Canadian National Exhibition might already have your plans sorted. For me, the lineup alone is enough reason to take a closer look at what’s happening at the event this year.
The CNE is turning up the volume for its 147th edition, bringing a wide mix of Canadian favourites and international artists to the Bell SOUNDSTAGE at the Bandshell from August 21 to September 7. This year’s lineup includes everyone from Shaggy and JoJo to Lupe Fiasco, Lights, Finger Eleven, Glass Tiger, and Charlotte Day Wilson.
And there is a little extra reason to pay attention this year: the historic Bandshell is celebrating its 90th anniversary, while the CNE is also introducing a new partnership with NXNE that showcases emerging artists into the fair’s music programming.
Note: Event details are subject to change. Please check the official website before attending for the latest updates and schedule information.

Whether you are there for the music, the rides or simply an excuse to eat your way through the Food Building, here is what to know about the CNE 2026 concert lineup:

THE FULL CNE 2026 CONCERT LINEUP
The 2026 Bell SOUNDSTAGE lineup covers a surprisingly broad range of sounds, making it less of a traditional fair concert schedule and more of a mini music calendar spread across 17 nights.
The concert schedule is included with regular fair admission, although a Front Row VIP Add-On is available for those who want a reserved viewing area and access to additional VIP amenities. Admission passes can be purchased directly through The Ex Official Website.
Canadian Rock Gets a Big Spotlight
If guitar-heavy music is your thing, this year’s lineup has plenty to work with.
Tom Cochrane, The Trews, Glass Tiger, Finger Eleven, Silverstein, and Matthew Good and His Band are among the Canadian acts scheduled throughout the CNE. The mix also covers several eras of Canadian rock, from established acts with decades of history to bands with a more contemporary alternative following.
One particularly nostalgic night comes on August 26, when Bif Naked and Bran Van 3000 share the stage. Bran Van 3000 gained widespread recognition for the late-’90s hit “Drinking in LA,” while Bif Naked has remained a recognizable name in Canadian rock for decades.
For anyone who grew up with Canadian rock radio, there are several nights that could feel like a trip through the country’s musical history.
Toronto Talent Takes the Stage
The lineup also highlights several artists with strong Toronto connections.
Charlotte Day Wilson, one of the city’s prominent contemporary R&B voices, performs September 1. Her appearance gives the schedule a different flavour from the rock-heavy nights surrounding it and adds some modern R&B to the mix.
Lights brings her electronic-leaning pop sound to the Bandshell on August 22, while Silverstein represents the city’s long-running post-hardcore scene on September 3.
Pop, Hip-Hop, and Reggae Fans Have Options Too
The CNE lineup isn’t sticking to one musical lane.
Lupe Fiasco opens the concert schedule on August 21 with his acclaimed hip-hop catalogue. Next up is Shaggy on August 23 with a set of reggae and dancehall-inspired hits. Then, on August 29, JoJo takes the stage with her signature pop and R&B sound.
There is Raf-Saperra on September 4, expanding the lineup into Punjabi music and giving the concert schedule another cultural and musical dimension.
Two Nights Still Have a Little Mystery
Not every name has been revealed yet.
August 28 is reserved for a special international headliner presented by Billboard Canada, while August 31 will welcome Dallas Smith alongside a surprise co-headliner presented by Rolling Stone Canada.
That means the CNE’s 2026 concert calendar still has a couple of slots that could make the lineup even more interesting once the remaining artists are announced.
Don’t Miss Dr. Jay’s Soca Night
The final concert night, September 6, shifts the energy toward Caribbean music with the return of Dr. Jay’s Soca Night.
The evening is set to feature Alison Hinds, Edwin Yearwood, Rupee, and DJ Puffy. It closes out the scheduled Bell SOUNDSTAGE performances with a distinctly Caribbean celebration before the CNE wraps up its 2026 run.
The CNE Has Every Sound Covered
The biggest strength of this year’s schedule is its range. The CNE has spread its headliners across multiple generations and musical styles instead of building the concert program around one dominant genre or audience.
There are throwback names for longtime CNE visitors, current Canadian artists for younger crowds, international performers for pop and hip-hop fans, and genre-specific nights that show Toronto’s diverse music scene.
It even fits the CNE’s broader identity. The fair has long been a place where different parts of Toronto’s culture meet, and the 2026 concert schedule reflects that same mix.
Whether you’re going for a specific artist or simply planning a day of rides, food and live music, there are plenty of reasons to make a concert part of your next trip to The Ex.
