Whether you’re going to see the horses, bringing the kids to meet farm animals, checking out local food, or just looking for something different to do in Toronto, there’s a lot to see across the fairgrounds.
Here’s everything to know about The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair 2026, including dates, tickets, the Royal Horse Show, family activities and how to get there by transit.

When is the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair 2026?
The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is held at Exhibition Place, with events and attractions spread across various venues, including the Enercare Centre and Coca-Cola Coliseum.
Since there can be several events happening in the area at once, we recommend planning ahead, especially if you’re driving.
Royal Agricultural Winter Fair 2026 Tickets
General admission gets you into the main fairgrounds, where you can explore the main attractions; which starts at $41 for adult admission.
The Royal also offers Royal Horse Show Tickets, which include same-day admission to the fair.
If you’re arriving by GO Transit, you can also buy Royal Admission + GO Transit Combo Passes. The 2026 combo is listed as $38 for a single rider or $90 for a family of two adults and two kids, with return GO Transit travel included.
Tickets are final sale, so double-check your date before purchasing. You can get your tickets at The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair website.
The Royal Horse Show
One of the biggest events at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is the Royal Horse Show, which brings international-level equestrian competition to Toronto.

The 2026 lineup includes show jumping, heavy horse competitions, rodeo events and other equestrian performances.
If you’re looking for something a little more family-friendly, the K9-Equine challenge pairs an international rider and horse with a Royal SuperDog in a timed obstacle course.
Family-Friendly Things to Do
Meeting the farm animals

The Royal Petting Farm gives kids a chance to get up close with real farm animals, with animal caretakers around to answer questions and talk about life on the farm.
There is also a Farm & Play Zone, which combines hands-on activities with shows and play areas such as fair-themed inflatables and a schedule of shows such as magic shows on certain days. Make sure to check out their 2026 Show Guide for more details.
Watch the SuperDogs

The Royal’s Animal Theatre features a rotating schedule of animal demonstrations, including SuperDogs, sheep herding and different horse demonstrations.
How to get to the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair by Transit
GO Transit
Taking GO is one of the easiest ways to get to The Royal.
Exhibition GO Station is located right by Exhibition Place, making it a short walk from the fairgrounds. The station is under the Lakeshore West line, with trains running approximately every 30 minutes.
The Royal also offers GO + Admission Combo Passes, which can make things simpler for visitors coming from outside Toronto.
TTC
You can also reach Exhibition Place using TTC connections. There are many bus routes and streetcar routes that reach Exhibition Place. If you’re coming from downtown, transit is generally a much easier option than trying to find parking around Exhibition Place.
Driving and Parking
Parking around Exhibition Place can be extremely limited, especially when other major events are taking place on the grounds. If you’re driving, plan accordingly.
Is the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair Worth Visiting?
If you’ve never been there before, The Royal is one of those events where you can easily spend more time than you expected. It is a perfect event to wander and explore the livestock areas, grab food, watch various shows or check out local vendors.

For families, there are many events, such as animal encounters and the Farm & Play Zone give kids plenty of things to do, while food lovers can spend their time sampling local products and agricultural competitions.
