Golf Town’s New Oakville Flagship Has $50 Cash Cards and $20K in Prizes This Weekend
Those golf caddies spotted around Union Station, Scotiabank Arena and Liberty Village were pointing to a new address outside Toronto. The reveal: Golf Town is holding a two-day celebration for its first Canadian flagship store in Oakville.

The retailer is marking the occasion on Saturday, October 17, and Sunday, October 18, 2026. There will be $50 promotional cash cards for qualifying early customers, hourly prize giveaways, complimentary coffee and hot dogs.
The store itself is a major expansion. It spans 40,000 square feet and has putting technology, golf simulators, custom-fitting areas and more room for apparel and footwear.

How The $50 Cash Cards And Prize Giveaways Work
The biggest reason to arrive early is the $50 Golf Town cash card promotion. Golf Town has announced cards for customers in line on both Saturday and Sunday.
Published promotion details say customers must join the line before the doors open at 8 a.m. The limit is one card per customer, and it must be used that day. Exclusions apply, so shoppers should confirm the terms before choosing what to buy.
There is also a separate prize programme during the grand-opening weekend. Golf Town says it will run giveaways every hour, with more than $20,000 in prizes across the event. That figure is the combined prize value, not the amount awarded each hour.
Specific prize lists and entry steps were not provided in the announcement. Visitors interested in the giveaways can ask store staff for the participation rules when they arrive.
Coffee And Hot Dogs Are Part Of The Weekend
The opening weekend has a few extras for people spending time at the store. According to the event invitation, Streetbrew will serve complimentary coffee from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on both days.
Hot dogs are also planned from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. each day. Those windows make it easier to plan a morning visit for the cash card lineup or an afternoon stop to browse the space.
What Is Inside The 40,000-Square-Foot Golf Town Flagship
The new Oakville location is about two and a half times the size of a typical Golf Town store, according to the company. A 1,300-square-foot putting green takes up part of that space.
The green includes a dual-projector PuttView system that shows putting lines and ball paths. Golf Town has also installed five Foresight simulator bays for golf practice and equipment-related sessions.
Golfers looking to adjust their clubs will find two StudioX fitting bays. The setup includes Zen Green moving-platform technology and Quintic tools for putter fitting. Availability, appointments and any fitting fees should be checked with the store.
Another section focuses on personalising equipment. Golf Town says its on-site lab can handle wedge stamping, golf ball logo printing and other custom work.
There Is Also More Space For Shoes, Clothing And Equipment
Shoppers will find dedicated brand areas for TaylorMade, Callaway, Odyssey, PING and Titleist. The retailer has also expanded its apparel selection and redesigned the women’s shop.
Footwear gets a more technical approach. The FootJoy FJ FitLAB uses three-dimensional scanning and multiple cameras to measure feet and guide shoe fitting. That may be useful for customers who find golf shoes difficult to size.
Golf Town identifies Oakville as its 50th Canadian store and says it invested $15 million in the flagship. The company plans to use the format as a model for other large locations.
What To Know Before Heading To Oakville
The grand-opening celebration is at the new Oakville store, not the Toronto locations where the caddy promotion appeared. Both event days have extended 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. hours.
Anyone hoping to collect a cash card should arrive before 8 a.m. and review the redemption conditions. Customers coming later can still visit during the extended hours and check on the hourly giveaways.
For directions, use the Golf Town store locator. More details about the new store appear in Golf Town’s official opening announcement.
