Kelley Mack, ‘The Walking Dead’ and ‘Chicago Med’ Actress, Dies at 33
Kelley Mack, known for her role as Addy in Season 9 of The Walking Dead, died on August 2 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was 33. Her death followed a battle with glioma, a form of cancer affecting the brain and spinal cord.

Her family confirmed the news in a statement, remembering her as a vibrant spirit who poured her passion into storytelling. She passed peacefully with her mother and aunt by her side.
A Passion for Performance From a Young Age
Born Kelley Lynne Klebenow on July 10, 1992, Mack grew up in various cities across the United States. She discovered her love for storytelling early after receiving a video camera as a birthday gift. That small gesture sparked a lifelong pursuit of acting and filmmaking.
As a child, she appeared in several commercials and later earned recognition from the Tisch School of the Arts for her performance in The Elephant Garden (2008), which also screened at the Tribeca Film Festival.
TV Appearances and Film Work
Many fans remember her as Addy, a Hilltop Colony member in The Walking Dead. She also had a guest role on 9-1-1 (2019) and played Penelope Jacobs in Chicago Med (2022).

She and her mother co-wrote several screenplays, including On the Black, inspired by her grandparents’ college love story. In addition to her creative pursuits, she loved hiking, biking, piano, tennis, and fantasy football. Her family described her as a lifelong lover of animals, country music, and dark chocolate.
