Planned Power Outage in Elliot Lake on Sunday, June 22
Hydro One has scheduled a planned power outage in the Elliot Lake area for Sunday, June 22, 2025. The outage will begin at 9 a.m. and is expected to last until 3 p.m. Hydro One customers affected by this outage have already been notified by phone.

What to Do Before the Outage
Hydro One encourages residents to take the following steps to prepare for the upcoming power cut:
- Turn off appliances, including the stove, to prevent damage when the power is restored.
- Charge your devices like phones, laptops, and tablets.
- Use a battery-powered alarm clock or your cellphone to ensure you wake up on time.
- Keep refrigerator and freezer doors closed as much as possible. If you need to store food, use a cooler with ice.
- If using a generator, place it outdoors, away from windows, doors, and vents, in a dry area.
Power Outage in Lanark and Frontenac Counties
In addition, Hydro One has scheduled a four-hour power outage for nearly 4,300 customers in Lanark and Frontenac counties on Sunday, June 22, 2025, between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. The outage will impact several areas, including:
- Balderson
- Bathurst
- Carleton Place
- Dalhousie
- Darling
- Drummond
- Lanark
- Lavant
- McDonalds Corners
- North Sherbrooke
- South Sherbrooke
- Oso
- Palmerston
- Perth
The outage is due to equipment replacement. Hydro One has contacted all affected customers in advance.
