Toronto police have arrested a man in connection with three alleged sexual assaults in North York on Sunday. The incidents occurred in quick succession across several locations, prompting an urgent investigation.

Details of the Alleged Assaults

The first assault happened around 12:20 p.m. near Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue East. According to police, the suspect entered a women’s changeroom at a fitness center and allegedly assaulted a victim before fleeing.

Less than two hours later, police received reports of another sexual assault near Wilson Avenue and Bathurst Street. The suspect allegedly followed a woman, grabbed her, and sexually assaulted her. A bystander interrupted the attack, and the suspect fled on foot.

The third assault took place shortly after near Lawrence Avenue West and Bathurst Street. Police reported that the suspect approached another woman, grabbed her, and sexually assaulted her. A passing driver stopped the attack, forcing the suspect to flee again.

Description of the Suspect

The suspect, described by police as a Black male in his late 20s to early 30s, has a thin build, short curly hair, and a short black beard. At the time of the incidents, he wore a grey/black jacket, blue jeans, and black shoes with a white sole and carried a black backpack.

Arrest and Ongoing Investigation

A police spokesperson confirmed that officers arrested a man believed to be responsible for the assaults. Authorities continue to investigate the case to gather more evidence and determine any additional charges.
