Trinbago Toronto Festival Takes Over Nathan Phillips Square This Weekend
The Trinbago Toronto Festival is back at Nathan Phillips Square this weekend. It runs from September 5 to 7.
After drawing over 45,000 people last year, the event has expanded to three full days. Expect a packed schedule of music, food, and dance. It’s a celebration of Trinidad and Tobago’s culture in the heart of the city.
The festival is a free, all-ages event designed to promote cultural pride and create opportunities for Caribbean-Canadian artists and entrepreneurs.
What to Expect
Throughout the weekend, Nathan Phillips Square will feature a bustling marketplace with vendors serving traditional Trinidad and Tobago cuisine, along with local artisans and small businesses. Visitors can also experience cultural parades with traditional masquerades.
Sponsors, including Visit Trinidad and Visit Tobago, will have booths on-site, offering a chance for attendees to win a trip to Trinidad and Tobago and other prizes.

More Than a Festival
Beyond the entertainment, the Trinbago Toronto Festival aims to foster community connections and celebrate the cultural legacy of Trinidad and Tobago in Canada. The event serves as a platform for both established and emerging talent from across the diaspora.
Proceeds from the festival support the Caribbean Scholarship Foundation’s scholarship and mentorship programs, investing in the future of the community.
