One Canadian first, two fan-favourite comebacks and three reasons to revisit the Taco Bell menu.

The Quesarito, The Meximelt and The Caramel Apple Empanada are coming to participating Taco Bell Canada locations this September.

September 3, 2026 (VAUGHAN, ONTARIO) — Taco Bell Canada is reaching into its menu archives to bring back three iconic favourites. The lineup proves that the next big fast-food innovation may already exist in the past.

Starting September 3, The Meximelt and The Caramel Apple Empanada will return after years of fan requests. Meanwhile, The Quesarito will make its official Canadian debut.

All three Taco Bell menu items will be available for a limited time. They will be offered at participating locations across Canada, while supplies last.

The lineup spans decades of Taco Bell history. It brings together two fan-favourite comebacks and one long-awaited Canadian debut.

First, The Meximelt takes fans back to the ’80s. Meanwhile, The Caramel Apple Empanada brings back a beloved 2000s-era dessert. Finally, The Quesarito gives Canadian fans a chance to try one of Taco Bell’s most requested menu items.

“What’s nostalgic for one Taco Bell fan can be a completely new discovery for another,” said Meera Patel, Director of Marketing, Taco Bell Canada. “And that’s what makes our history such an exciting source of innovation. Sometimes the best place to find what’s next is in the test kitchen vault, and this lineup gives Canadians the chance to experience some of the menu items that helped make Taco Bell so iconic.”

The Quesarito Makes Its Canadian Debut

After building a following among Taco Bell fans in markets such as the United States and Spain, The Quesarito is finally coming to Canada.

The menu item combines two Taco Bell favourites. It features a burrito wrapped inside a grilled cheese quesadilla.

As a result, fans get a cheesy take on the classic burrito. The Quesarito has also become one of the brand’s most requested menu items.

For Canadian Taco Bell fans, its arrival has been a long time coming. Now, they can finally experience the menu favourite closer to home.

The Meximelt Returns to Taco Bell Canada

A recognizable Taco Bell classic, The Meximelt is returning after years of fan requests.

The ’80s-era favourite features a warm flour tortilla. It is filled with seasoned beef, pico de gallo and a three-cheese blend.

For longtime Taco Bell customers, the comeback offers a chance to revisit a familiar favourite. At the same time, newer fans can discover a menu item from Taco Bell’s history.

The return also shows the lasting appeal of classic Taco Bell flavours. Some menu favourites remain memorable long after they leave the menu.

The Caramel Apple Empanada Is Back

Fans with a sweet tooth also have a reason to celebrate. The Caramel Apple Empanada is returning to Taco Bell Canada.

The dessert combines a sweet caramel-apple filling with a crispy, golden shell. It became a nostalgic Taco Bell favourite during the 2000s.

Now, longtime fans can revisit the dessert once again. In addition, a new generation can discover a classic they may know from fan conversations and memories.

Its return adds a sweet option to the latest Taco Bell Canada lineup. It also gives fans another reason to revisit the brand’s menu archives.

A New Take on Taco Bell Nostalgia

The return of The Meximelt and The Caramel Apple Empanada comes alongside The Quesarito’s Canadian debut. Together, the three menu items highlight Taco Bell’s approach to innovation.

Rather than always starting from scratch, the brand is looking to its history for inspiration. In turn, familiar favourites can become new experiences for today’s customers.

For longtime fans, the latest Taco Bell menu lineup offers a taste of nostalgia. Meanwhile, new customers can discover some of the brand’s most recognizable creations.

As Taco Bell Canada continues to grow across the country, the brand is showing that innovation can come from the past. Sometimes, the most anticipated menu item is one fans have been asking to see again.
