GORDO and Francis Mercier Lead Taraka’s Next Toronto Electronic Music Showcase
Toronto’s Port Lands is set for another major electronic music event. The team behind the city’s recent Black Coffee showcase is bringing a new experience to the waterfront.
On September 6, 2026 (Sunday), Full Circle Presents, Future, and Puzzle Entertainment will present Taraka Presents GORDO & Francis Mercier.
The event follows the breakout success of the Black Coffee showcase, which drew more than 10,000 guests and became one of Toronto’s most talked-about electronic music events of the summer.
A New Chapter for Toronto’s Electronic Scene
The upcoming showcase marks the second installment in the producers’ premium electronic music series.
They are now partnering with GORDO’s internationally recognized Taraka brand. Together, they are bringing its mix of major artists, large-scale production, and curated hospitality to Toronto.
GORDO will headline the event. The artist was named Billboard’s No. 1 Hot 100 Producer and served as the creative force behind six tracks on Drake’s Honestly, Nevermind.
Gordo will be joined by Francis Mercier, the internationally known DJ and producer whose Afro House sound has helped him build a growing audience around the world.
The latest announcement adds Sacchi and Gala to the upcoming Taraka showcase, giving the event an expanded roster alongside headliners.
What to Expect
The event will use a 360-degree arena-style design. A central stage will sit within the audience area, surrounded by elevated VIP platforms and curated hospitality lounges.
With feedback and lessons from the Black Coffee event, the organizers have made changes aimed at making the day smoother. Guests can expect:
- A fully immersive 360-degree arena layout with elevated VIP platforms
- Expanded hospitality offerings and improved guest flow
- Refined venue operations and enhanced viewing areas
- Multiple VIP experiences with premium service and sightlines
- Large-scale lighting, sound, staging, and visual production
- An elevated culinary experience by The Food Dudes
- Additional guest amenities introduced after the Black Coffee showcase
The organizers describe it as a continuation of the immersive setup introduced during the first showcase. Each edition features its own artist, creative direction, and production identity.
Tickets and Event Details
Taraka is a 19+ event aimed at guests looking for a more polished day-to-night music experience. General admission tickets start at $60 CAD. Meanwhile, VIP Experiences begin at $110 CAD.
Ticket registration opened August 6, followed by a private pre-sale for registered guests on August 12 at 12:30 PM. General public sales began August 13 at 12:30 PM.
