Toronto’s TIFF Festival Village will have a little taste of Italy this September with Cinema Lavazza, a free pop-up experience presented by Lavazza, the festival’s Official Coffee Partner.

From September 10 to 20, visitors can stop by David Pecaut Square for coffee, photos, giveaways, and a café-inspired break between festival activities.

A Café Meets a Movie Theatre

Cinema Lavazza combines the look of a classic movie theatre lobby with the warmth of an authentic Italian café. Festivalgoers can drop by for a quick break, sample coffee, take photos, and pick up a few Lavazza items.

The experience includes:

  • A sample of Lavazza’s refreshing Cold Brew
  • Plush velvet theatre seats for photos with Luigi, Lavazza’s playful, coffee-loving robot
  • A sample of Lavazza’s signature Qualità Oro blend
  • A custom Lavazza keychain to take home
  • A chance to win a one-year supply of Lavazza’s Qualità Oro blend

The setup gives visitors a chance to enjoy coffee while taking part in the festival atmosphere.

Event Details

Cinema Lavazza will be open from September 10 (Thursday) to September 20 (Sunday), 2026, at David Pecaut Square in TIFF Festival Village on King Street West, Toronto.

The activation is free, making it an easy addition to a day spent around TIFF. Visitors can stop in to try the Cold Brew, meet Luigi through the photo experience, or enter the Qualità Oro giveaway.

At the centre of the activation is the connection between film and coffee. Cinema Lavazza brings those two ideas together through its theatre-inspired setting and Italian café feel.
