Mirvish Village is adding a new Saturday market to the Bathurst and Bloor area this fall. The Alley Bazaar launches on October 17, taking over Honest Ed’s Alley from noon to 6 p.m.

The free event comes from the team behind Kensington Flea. More than 20 vintage and artisan vendors will fill the pedestrian lane. The launch also coincides with new small-format retail businesses opening in the alley. Bazaar Gift Shop is among them.

The October market is the first edition and, according to the launch announcement, the only Alley Bazaar scheduled for 2026. Organizers say the market will return every weekend beginning in May 2027 with a rotating vendor lineup.

A New Market In Honest Ed’s Alley

The Alley Bazaar will turn Honest Ed’s Alley into a shopping strip for local sellers. Small businesses opening along the lane will also take part. Mirvish Village’s official event listing places the alley off Lennox Street, between Markham Street and Bathurst Street. It sits just south of Bloor Street West.

That setting is part of the point. The launch announcement says shoppers can meet the people behind the products. Visitors can also check out the new storefronts opening around the lane. The market carries forward the independent retail focus associated with Kensington Flea, which has operated in Toronto since 2017.

For the October launch, the market and the new storefronts will be active at the same time. Visitors can browse temporary vendor tables and see businesses beginning to operate in Honest Ed’s Alley.

What You Can Shop At The October Market

The vendor mix will cover vintage and handmade shopping across several categories. The launch announcement lists vintage finds, art, jewellery, collectibles, gifts, home decor and goods made by local sellers. Mirvish Village’s event page also confirms more than 20 market vendors selling vintage and artisan goods.

The official event page does not currently post a vendor-by-vendor lineup. Shoppers should not assume a specific seller will attend unless the organizer announces it. Still, the listed categories suit people looking for fall gifts, second-hand pieces or locally made items. Several kinds of shopping will be gathered in one lane.

The Bazaar Gift Shop is Opening Too

The October 17 event also marks the grand opening of the Bazaar Gift Shop. Mirvish Village lists the shop at 30 Lennox Street in Honest Ed’s Alley. Its listed categories include gifts, home decor, stationery and everyday items from independent makers and designers.

The launch announcement says other independent shops are also beginning to open in the alley. The current event listing does not name each business. For now, Bazaar Gift Shop is the clearest confirmed storefront tied to the market launch.

Getting To Mirvish Village

For TTC riders, Bathurst Station on Line 2 is steps from Mirvish Village. The official site also notes that the 511 streetcar and the 307 and 300 buses stop nearby. Riders should check same-day TTC service notices before leaving, especially if construction or weekend diversions affect the area.

Drivers can find nearby parking options, according to Mirvish Village. Cyclists can use the bikeways on Bloor Street and nearby Palmerston Boulevard. The market runs for six hours, giving visitors a wide arrival window between noon and 6 p.m.

What Comes After The Launch

October 17 is the only Alley Bazaar market announced for 2026. The supplied launch announcement says the market will return every weekend starting in May 2027. Vendors are expected to change through the season.

That recurring format could give shoppers more reasons to return as additional small businesses open. Readers should check the market’s official channels closer to spring for confirmed 2027 dates and vendor announcements.

The Alley Bazaar runs Saturday, October 17, from noon to 6 p.m. in Honest Ed’s Alley at Mirvish Village. Admission is free. Check the official Mirvish Village event page or the Eventbrite listing before heading over for the latest event updates.
