Yelp’s Carb Comeback Brings Free Food Events Across Toronto and the GTA This Fall
Toronto carb fans have a packed October ahead. Yelp Toronto & GTA is rolling out Carb Comeback, a run of free community events and tasting offers across Toronto, Markham, Mississauga and Vaughan from October 14 to November 6, 2026.

The lineup moves from onigiri and abura soba to pizza, banh mi, hot chicken, pastries and board games. There is even a pickleball night and a performance assessment stop, giving the series more range than a standard restaurant crawl.
Attendance is free, but each guest needs a completed Yelp profile, an individual RSVP and a confirmation email. Guests must be 19 or older, according to the submitted event details.

How The RSVP Works
Carb Comeback is not set up as a walk-in promotion. Each person needs to RSVP separately through a free Yelp profile, and a confirmation email is required before attending. The submitted instructions also ask guests to enter the code TORONTO in the message prompt section.
That means one confirmation does not cover a friend or partner. Anyone attending needs to submit their own RSVP. Since some offers run across several days and others happen during a single time slot, check the listing for the stop you want before making plans.

A food crawl with a few curveballs
Most of the series centres on restaurant and cafe stops, but Yelp has mixed in a few activity-led bookings. The Backyard Club adds pickleball to the pastry stop, while REACTFORGE swaps a meal for physical and cognitive testing. Twilight Cafe closes the run with board games, shareables and drinks.
For readers mainly chasing food, the schedule still covers plenty of ground. Japanese, Vietnamese and Italian picks sit alongside coffee-shop treats and hot chicken. Several offers also give guests a choice within the featured menu, rather than locking everyone into one item.
The format also makes it easier to join only the stops that fit your schedule. Some run for several days, while others have one date and fixed time slots.
What To Know Before You Go
Free admission does not mean automatic entry. RSVP confirmation is the key requirement, and each guest needs their own Yelp profile and confirmation email. Bring the details for your booking and recheck the event listing before heading to the venue.
The submitted announcement also points readers toward Yelp’s Elite Squad for local perks and future community events. Elite status is not listed as a requirement for Carb Comeback, so regular Yelp users can still submit an RSVP for the series. Yelp Elite Squad
Carb Comeback runs across the GTA from October 14 through November 6 based on the submitted lineup. Check the official RSVP page for availability, venue-specific instructions and any last-minute schedule changes before visiting.
