Flair Airlines Adds Nonstop Edmonton to Saint John Flights in 2027
Flair Airlines is adding nonstop Edmonton to Saint John flights on June 15, 2027, giving travellers a new way to cross Canada without changing planes.

The airline says its new service will run twice weekly between Edmonton International Airport (YEG) and Saint John Airport (YSJ) in New Brunswick. Flair calls it the first nonstop commercial connection between the two cities.
For Toronto readers, the new route comes with a twist. These flights will not leave from Toronto, but they could remove the city as a connection point for passengers travelling between Alberta and southern New Brunswick.

A New Route That Bypasses Toronto Connections
According to Flair, Saint John is one of Edmonton’s largest air travel markets in Atlantic Canada. Most people flying between the two cities currently connect through Toronto, the airline says.
A nonstop service would take that change of planes out of the itinerary. It gives people travelling for family visits, holidays or work another option between Western and Atlantic Canada.
The difference is most relevant to passengers starting in Edmonton or Saint John. This announcement does not add a new flight departing Toronto, and it does not include changes to existing flights serving the city.
However, a nonstop flight is not automatically the best fit for every trip. With only two departures each week, travellers will need to compare their preferred dates with available connecting itineraries.
Introductory Fares Start At $199 One Way
Flair announced introductory one-way tickets starting at $199 CAD in either direction. The promotion is available for a limited time, although the airline has not announced a specific end date.
The airline’s booking pages show economy fares with taxes and fees included in the displayed price. Optional services can cost extra, and the lowest fare may not appear on every travel date.
That is worth checking before making plans for next summer. Compare the final amount at checkout, including any baggage or other extras you need, rather than relying only on a starting fare.
Bookings opened on October 15, 2026. Travellers can search their dates and compare fares on the airline’s official website, with availability subject to change.
What Travellers Can Do At Either End
For passengers heading east, Saint John offers a starting point for visiting the Bay of Fundy and communities along southern New Brunswick’s coast. The new route places that part of the province on a nonstop itinerary from Edmonton.
Travellers flying west can spend time in Edmonton, including its river valley and festival scene. The city can also serve as the first stop for a longer Alberta trip toward the Canadian Rockies.
Those longer trips still call for some planning on the ground. A direct flight between the two airports does not cover onward transportation to nearby communities or attractions.
Saint John Airport president and CEO Court Edeburn said the connection could support tourism, family travel and business between the regions. For the airport, the route also creates another link with Western Canada.
What to know before booking the new flights
The airport codes are important here: YSJ is Saint John, New Brunswick. It is not St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, which uses the code YYT.
Flair has confirmed the launch date and twice-weekly frequency, but the announcement does not give specific departure times. Travellers should use the current booking schedule rather than assuming flights leave at the same time each day.
The service is scheduled to begin in June 2027, so this is a future route rather than a flight operating today. Check the airline’s latest fare rules, available dates and flight details again before travelling.
