Brantford Couple Lottery Win: Retired Couple Wins $50,000
Robert and Lynor Gilks, a retired couple from Brantford, are celebrating their second big lottery win in less than three years. This time, they’ve won a remarkable $50,000 on the Instant Super Strike ticket. The couple, who have been playing the lottery for nearly 40 years, purchased the winning ticket at a local Petro-Canada station on Clarence Street South in Brantford.

Excitement and Celebration
Robert Gilks, on his way home from the store, decided to buy the Instant Super Strike ticket. He scratched it immediately and was thrilled to discover he had won. “In that moment, I was so happy and excited,” Robert shared.
“We were both thrilled,” said Lynor. “It feels great to be winners, and this money will really help with our finances.” He quickly called Lynor, and Lynor shared his delight over the good news.
Plans for the Winnings
The couple plans to use their winnings wisely. They will complete some home renovations, take a well-deserved vacation, and save the remainder of the money for future needs.
A History of Big Wins
This isn’t Robert and Lynor’s first time winning big. Back in December 2022, they won a $1 million prize with an Instant Ultimate ticket. Their long-standing relationship with OLG includes regular play across a variety of games, including Lotto Max, Lottario, and instant game tickets.
