Dino Run Is Coming to The Toronto Bentway This August
Got a little dinosaur fan at home? Dino Run is coming to The Bentway on August 22, giving kids a chance to learn about dinosaurs, play games and chase some runaway dinos.
The family-friendly event combines dinosaur education with an interactive, non-competitive run under the Gardiner Expressway.

Date: Saturday, August 22, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Location: The Bentway Skate Trail, 250 Fort York Blvd., Toronto

What Happens at Dino Run?
The morning starts with Dino Specialists leading kids through songs, dancing, games and dinosaur stories. Kids can learn fun facts about dinosaurs, including how T. rex roared and how Velociraptors moved.
Then, it’s time to become a Dino Explorer. Kids will run around The Bentway’s 220-metre loop while searching for runaway dinosaurs.
There is no timed race or required distance. Kids can complete the loop as many times as they want, making it a low-pressure activity for families.
Every registered participant also gets a Dino Medal after completing the dinosaur-catching mission.
Who Can Join Dino Run?
Dino Run is designed for kids and families. Children five and under must run with an adult Dino-Chaperone who is at least 18 years old. Kids six and older can run independently or with an adult.
Registration includes one child bib and one Dino-Chaperone bib. Additional chaperone bibs cost $3 for adults who want to run alongside their kids.

What Should You Bring?
Keep the outfit simple and comfortable. The Bentway recommends running shoes and comfortable clothing, and sandals aren’t recommended for the course.
It’s also a good idea to bring water and a light snack for your little Dino Explorer.
