Halloween on Church 2026 Returns for Two Nights of Drag, Music and Costumes
Toronto’s Church Street Halloween party is stretching across two nights in 2026. Halloween on Church returns Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31, with costumes, drag performances and live music in the Church-Wellesley Village.

Organizers have scheduled evening shows on both dates, anchored by a Mega Stage and the Witches’ Brew Beer Garden near Church and Maitland streets. The Saturday celebration will also include a planned closure of Church Street to vehicle traffic.
The result is more time to plan a costume, meet friends and take in the performances. Here’s what the organizer has confirmed ahead of Halloween weekend.

Two Nights With Different Start Times
Friday’s programming starts at 8 p.m., offering a later option for anyone heading downtown after work. Saturday starts three hours earlier, at 5 p.m. Both nights end at midnight, according to the event website.
Those hours cover the Mega Stage and beer garden. The October 9 event announcement also says Church Street will close to traffic on Saturday beginning at 5 p.m. Organizers have not announced a Friday road closure in that release.
The street-party footprint runs between Carlton Street and Gloucester Street. That gives costume fans room to gather in the Village on Halloween night, while the stage acts provide a separate focus for the evening.
Organizers encourage costumes, but you can attend without one. Dress up with friends or watch the outfits go by. Agree on a meeting spot if your group plans to split up.
Drag, Tribute Acts And Music On The Mega Stage
The lineup brings together drag artists, tribute acts, live singers and DJs. Sofonda is on the bill, alongside Canada’s Drag Race alum BOA. The bill also includes Ari Darlin and Georgina Hudson, while Jay Jay Kings will perform a Lady Gaga tribute.
Music fans can expect tributes to Michael Jackson and Dolly Parton. The current event website also lists live vocals from OMG Classic and Paris Sanford. House DJ Cozmic Cat rounds out the announced music roster.
There’s more than music on the program. The Men’s Room will present a fashion show, and go-go dancers will also perform. That mix gives visitors several kinds of stage entertainment throughout the event.
The organizer has posted the overall hours, but not a set-by-set performance timetable. Check for any lineup and scheduling updates before deciding when to arrive.
What To Know About The Witches’ Brew Beer Garden
Organizers will set up the Witches’ Brew Beer Garden at Church and Maitland, alongside the event’s Mega Stage. They limit entry to people aged 19 or older. Guests must show valid government-issued photo ID.
The distinction matters for groups planning to attend with younger guests. Halloween on Church describes the wider neighbourhood celebration as family-friendly, but the beer garden has its own entry rule.
Planning to stay out after midnight? The organizer says selected bars and restaurants in the area may remain open until 4 a.m. That does not mean every business will use those hours. Confirm closing times and entry conditions directly with the venue you plan to visit.
A Costume Party In The Heart Of The Village
Church-Wellesley Village is a central gathering place for Toronto’s 2SLGBTQ+ community. Halloween on Church builds on that setting, putting drag, performance and creative costumes at the centre of the weekend.
The organizer also shares clear guidance about personal space. Ask before photographing someone in costume, and never touch another person or their outfit without permission. Those rules matter even when a costume draws a crowd. See the organizer’s attendee guidelines for additional advice.
Leave room for nearby businesses, residents and other visitors when stopping for photos. With plenty of people moving between the stage and the street, small courtesies can make the evening easier for everyone.
How To Get To Church Street
Saturday’s planned street closure makes transit a practical choice. The TTC lists two Line 1 stations for reaching the Village: Wellesley and College. From Wellesley Station, head east along Wellesley Street. From College Station, walk east on Carlton Street.
If you are driving or arranging a pickup, choose a meeting point outside the closed stretch of Church Street. Check TTC service advisories before leaving, particularly for your return trip later that night.
The event website remains the main source for any changes to show times, access arrangements and the performer roster.
Halloween on Church takes place October 30 and 31, with stage programming planned until midnight on both nights. For updated details before heading out, visit the official Halloween on Church website.
