Highway 407 Free Tolls: Ontario Drivers Get Rush Hour Discount This March
Ontario drivers will receive a limited-time opportunity to travel toll-free on Highway 407 during rush hour throughout March 2025. The 407 Express Toll Route (ETR) announced a promotional program allowing some eligible customers to drive the highway for free during peak hours.
When and Where Is the Promotion Available?
The Spring Into Free Rush Hour promotion runs from March 1 to March 31, 2025. Free travel applies during the following times:
- Monday to Friday
- Morning: 7:00 AM – 9:30 AM
- Afternoon: 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM
The offer covers the stretch of Highway 407 from QEW in Burlington to Brock Road in Pickering.
Who Qualifies for Free Highway 407 Trips?
Only personal vehicles with Ontario plates are eligible for the promotion. Heavy vehicle transponders do not qualify.
To participate, drivers must meet one of the following conditions:
- Have an active 407 ETR account and enroll in the promotion before February 28, 2025.
- Agree to the My Account and Paperless Agreement before using their account for the first time.
The 407 ETR targeted over one million customers for this offer. However, the promotion is not available to all drivers and is determined at 407 ETR’s sole discretion.
How Will the Promotion Be Applied?
Drivers who qualify will see toll and camera charges covered during the promotional period. These discounts will appear as credits on their 407 ETR bill. However, transponder lease fees will still apply.
Credits will be applied seven to ten days before a customer’s bill date and will be reflected on their next statement.

- Sign up for a 407 ETR account.
- Opt into marketing emails to receive notifications about future promotions.
