The Human Cost: Civilians in Fear

The human toll of these attacks is deeply felt in Kyiv, where the explosions left residents shaken. Fourteen-year-old Vitalina Vasylchenko shared a harrowing account of the moment the explosion hit her home. With her family sheltering in a parking garage, she recalled the panic and the overwhelming fear that gripped her as the blast rocked her neighborhood.

Energy Crisis and Power Outages

The strike on Kyiv also exacerbated the ongoing power crisis in the region. Over 2,000 households in Kyiv’s eastern districts were left without electricity, as infrastructure continued to suffer under the barrage of missile strikes. Other cities, like Ternopil, also experienced significant damage, with industrial facilities hit and electricity supplies disrupted.
