Stranger Things Season 5: Trailer Drops Wednesday, Poster Teases a Fiery Final Chapter
The end is near for Stranger Things. After years of battles, betrayals, and trips to the Upside Down, Netflix has unveiled the first poster for Season 5, confirming the return of the hit sci-fi series this November 26, 2025. Even more exciting? The first full trailer drops tomorrow.
A Burning Hawkins and One Last Ride
The Season 5 poster paints a grim picture: a red, apocalyptic sky looms over Eleven, Mike, and the gang, still riding their bikes through a destroyed Hawkins. At the center of it all is Vecna, whose twisted face hangs in the smoke like a final warning. While the gang survived his last attack, the barrier between the Upside Down and the real world remains shattered—and it’s clear the nightmare is far from over.
The tagline: “One last adventure.”
Season 5 Episode Release Dates
Netflix has confirmed a staggered release for the final season:
- Volume 1 (Episodes 1–4): November 26, 2025
- Volume 2 (Episodes 5–7): December 25, 2025
- Volume 3 (Finale Episode): December 31, 2025
The series will wrap just before the new year, giving fans one last dose of Hawkins before the clock strikes midnight on 2025.

What We Know So Far
Back in May, Netflix offered a sneak peek at the new season. The teaser included a panicked Will Byers screaming for his friends to run, while Lucas sat beside Max, who still lies in a coma after Season 4’s climactic battle. The footage also hinted at rising stakes, both emotional and existential.
The entire main cast returns, including:
- Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven)
- Finn Wolfhard (Mike)
- Noah Schnapp (Will)
- Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas)
- Sadie Sink (Max)
- Gaten Matarazzo, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, and more
Plus, sci-fi legend Linda Hamilton joins the cast in a mystery role, adding a Terminator-worthy edge to the show’s final arc.
Expanding the Stranger Things Universe
In the lead-up to Season 5, creators Matt and Ross Duffer have expanded the franchise in several directions:

- “Stranger Things: The First Shadow” – A stage play set decades before the show’s events, debuted in London in 2023 and hit Broadway this past April.
- “Behind the Curtain” – A Netflix documentary about the making of the play premiered on April 15, 2025.
- “Stranger Things: Tales from ’85” – An animated spin-off styled after vintage Saturday morning cartoons, announced for release in 2026. It takes place between Seasons 2 and 3.
As the Hawkins crew gears up for one final confrontation, fans can expect nostalgia, heartbreak, and all the supernatural chaos the series is known for. With the trailer arriving tomorrow and the countdown to November officially on, Stranger Things is ready to go out with a bang.
What are your theories for the final season? Is Vecna really the endgame, or is something worse coming? Let’s hear it in the comments.
