What’s Season 3 About?
Season 3 picks up after Belly’s big emotional shift in the Season 2 finale. She chose Jeremiah over Conrad, but Conrad is never truly out of the picture. As Belly returns to Cousins for another summer—now a college junior—familiar tensions rise.
According to the official synopsis:
“Her future seems set, until some core-shaking events bring her first love Conrad back into her life… Belly finds herself at a crossroads and must decide which brother has her heart.”
Expect a mix of beach nostalgia, emotional growth, and heartache. Plus, Taylor and Steven’s storylines will also get more attention this season.

Taylor Swift’s Soundtrack Returns

Jenny Han fought hard to bring Taylor Swift’s music into Season 3—and fans will hear it loud and clear.
- “Daylight” plays during a montage of Jeremiah
- “Red” plays during Conrad’s return
- Previous tracks featured: Back to December, Cruel Summer, Delicate, and False God
Fun fact: Lola Tung revealed that Swift once waved at her and Jenny Han during a 2023 Eras Tour performance of False God, a song used in the show. Tung described the moment as “surreal” and nearly fainted from excitement.
Will Belly Choose Conrad or Jeremiah?
No spoilers here—but if you really want to know how it ends, you can always read Book 3: We’ll Always Have Summer. That said, Jenny Han has hinted the show may not follow the books exactly, so surprises are still on the table.
