Toronto Santa Claus Parade 2026 Has a New Route: Here Is the Map
The Toronto Santa Claus Parade is coming back on Sunday, November 22, 2026, but it will follow a new route this year. The 122nd parade starts at 12:30 p.m. at Christie Pits Park, according to the parade’s organizers.
Because of construction in the city, the route has changed, blogTO reported. So, if you have a favourite viewing spot, it is a good idea to check the new map before parade day.
The New Toronto Santa Claus Parade Route
Here is how the parade will move through the city this year, based on the official route shared by organizers:
- Starts at Christie Pits Park, 750 Bloor St. W.
- Heads east on Bloor Street, past the Royal Ontario Museum
- Turns south on Yonge Street
- Goes west on Richmond Street
- Turns south on University Avenue
- Heads east on Wellington Street
- Goes south on Bay Street, then east on Front Street
- Ends at St. Lawrence Market at Jarvis Street
In the past, the parade made a loop around Queen’s Park. However, this year it skips that loop, blogTO reported.
Why the Route Changed
Construction across Toronto is the main reason. “The route changed because of construction in the city,” a spokesperson said, according to blogTO. In fact, the route also changed in a big way back in 2019.
What to Expect This Year
The parade will have 23 floats, and nine of them are new, according to the organizers. For example, new floats come from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, Circle K, Flair Airlines, Jollibee, LEGO Canada, Playdium, Super Simple and Tim Hortons, Mr. Will Wong reported.
In addition, marching bands and performers from Canada and around the world will join the fun. The Holly Jolly Fun Run will lead the parade once again. Best of all, the parade is free to watch.
What the Parade President Said
Clay Charters, president and CEO of the parade, shared why the event matters this year. He said “the Parade is the antidote so many of us are looking for,” according to the parade’s news release. More than 750,000 people are expected to line the streets.
