Volunteer Positions Open for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Toronto
Toronto is gearing up for a huge event, and they’re looking for passionate individuals to be a part of it! Volunteer registration for the 2026 FIFA World Cup is officially open, and they’re aiming to build a team of over 3,000 volunteers to help bring the excitement of the world’s biggest sporting event to life.
What to Expect
The volunteers will play key roles in supporting fan experiences, accessibility services, media operations, and event logistics in Toronto—one of the 16 host cities for the World Cup. It’s your chance to contribute to a global event while showing off Toronto’s warmth and diversity.
Mayor Olivia Chow shared her enthusiasm: “Volunteers are the heart of every major event in our city. This is your chance to be part of history, to meet new people, and to show the world the warmth and diversity of Toronto.”
How to Apply
If you’re 18 or older, you can apply for this exciting opportunity. Although there is no specific deadline to apply, early submissions are encouraged, as spots may fill up quickly.

Training and Role Assignments
By the fall, tryouts for volunteers will take place, and the selected candidates will receive their role assignments from December 2025 to February 2026. Training sessions are set for April and June 2026.
