Authorities recalled a popular deodorant brand after they found more than 67,000 cases violated FDA manufacturing standards. The FDA and A.P. Deauville issued a voluntary recall on July 10, 2025, affecting Power Stick roll-on antiperspirants sold nationwide. These products were available on Walmart, Amazon, and Dollar Tree shelves.

Why Was the Deodorant Recalled?

The company pulled the deodorant due to cGMP deviations—short for Current Good Manufacturing Practice, which ensures products are safe and properly made. The company issued the recall as a precaution, and no injuries or illnesses have been reported.

Which Products Are Included?

The recall applies to three deodorant varieties:

  • Power Stick for Her Roll-On Antiperspirant (Powder Fresh) – 21,265 cases
  • Power Stick Invisible Protection Roll-On (Spring Fresh) – 22,482 cases
  • Power Stick Original Nourishing Invisible Protection Roll-On – 23,467 cases

Each was sold in multi-packs. Walmart offered 3-packs for $21, while Dollar Tree sold bulk 24-packs for $30.

If you own a recalled deodorant:

  • Stop using it right away
  • Dispose of it safely, or
  • Return it to the store for a full refund

The FDA recommends not using any recalled product, even if no health issues have occurred.

Other Products Not Affected

The recall only applies to these deodorant products. Other A.P. Deauville items, such as shampoos or lotions, remain safe to use.

Why It Matters

This deodorant recall follows a trend. In 2024, the U.S. saw over 300 product recalls, many tied to health risks. Even without injuries, cGMP violations can compromise product safety—especially for items used daily on the skin.

Have you checked your deodorant’s lot number yet—or are you considering switching brands for peace of mind?
