Yoto Player 4th Gen and Yoto Mini 4th Gen Are Now Up for Pre-Order in Canada
Yoto has updated both of its screen-free audio players, bringing the Yoto Player 4th Gen and Yoto Mini 4th Gen to Canada with a new Green Button, 64 GB of storage, and upgraded connectivity.
The two models keep the company’s familiar card-based system, but they no longer require a physical card for every listening session. Families can pre-load daytime and nighttime favourites in the Yoto App.
Canadian pre-orders are open now. The Yoto Mini 4th Gen costs $134.99 and is estimated to dispatch from September 30, 2026. The full-size Yoto Player 4th Gen costs $179.99, with estimated dispatch beginning October 15, 2026.
The Green Button Puts Favourite Audio Within Reach
The Green Button is the most noticeable change to daily use. Adults set up two playlists in the Yoto App: one for daytime and another for nighttime. Each can hold up to 20 titles. Children twist the button to browse artwork on the pixel display, then press it to play.
Compatible stories, music, sleep sounds, timers, and personal recordings can be added from the family’s library. Most selections download to the player for offline listening, though live radio and some podcasts still need an internet connection.
Almost all current Yoto Cards work with both 4th Gen models, but Yoto is still completing compatibility for interactive cards on the new hardware platform. A first card play requires Wi-Fi so its audio can download.
Shared Hardware Upgrades
Both players move to 64 GB of storage, enough for more than 1,000 hours of downloaded audio according to Yoto. Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth LE 6.1, and a new internal platform make setup, downloads, and app connections quicker.
Each device includes a USB-C charging cable, a Welcome Card that doubles as a Make Your Own Card, and stickers.
The Player also comes with the digital title 5 Minute Stories From Around the World, while Mini buyers receive Journey Jams. Yoto backs both models with a two-year guarantee.
Yoto Player 4th Gen is the At-Home Model
The larger Yoto Player 4th Gen adds a full-panel LED night light with seven colours, a digital clock, and customizable okay-to-wake cues. It uses a five-watt stereo speaker and supports wired headphones through a 3.5 mm jack as well as Bluetooth headphones.
Battery life is rated at up to 14 hours. Charging works over USB-C or a compatible wireless dock. Yoto says a user-replaceable battery kit is planned for 2027, which could extend the device’s useful life once the original battery degrades.
At 11.5 centimetres on each side and about 763 grams, the Player is meant to stay on a shelf, bedside table, or kitchen counter. Its controls and night-light tools make it the more complete option for sleep and morning routines.
Yoto Mini 4th Gen is Ready for Commutes and Trips
The Mini is the smaller choice at 7.5 by 7 by 5 centimetres and 185 grams. It keeps both Bluetooth and 3.5 mm headphone options, charges by USB-C, and is rated for up to 12 hours of battery life.
Its biggest hardware change is durability. The Yoto Mini 4th Gen carries an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, includes liquid detection and was drop-tested 30,000 times by the company. It should still be allowed to dry before charging after contact with water.
Yoto has refreshed its optional Adventure Jackets. The Mini version includes a wrist lanyard, while the updated travel case fits either Mini generation and has room for headphones and up to 30 cards.
Canada Pricing and Dispatch Dates
The Yoto Mini 4th Gen is available for pre-order through Yoto Canada for $134.99, with estimated dispatch from September 30, 2026.
The Yoto Player 4th Gen is available for pre-order through Yoto Canada for $179.99, with estimated dispatch from October 15, 2026.

What to Check Before Ordering
Existing Yoto households can keep using almost all of their card libraries, but anyone who relies on interactive cards should check Yoto’s compatibility updates before replacing an older player.
New buyers should factor in the cost of additional cards, headphones, or protective accessories.
The main decision is straightforward: the Player adds better room sound, a larger night light, and wireless charging for home use; the Mini trades those features for a lighter, water-resistant body that is easier to carry.
