Canada’s Wonderland Oktoberfest 2026 Starts This Weekend

Canada’s Wonderland is kicking off its fall season with two very different experiences: Oktoberfest brings German-inspired food, beer and live entertainment, while The Conjuring: Beyond Fear gives horror fans an early taste of Halloween Haunt.

Canada’s Wonderland Oktoberfest 2026 begins this weekend in Vaughan, running Sept. 11–13 and Sept. 18–20. Meanwhile, horror fans can get an early look at The Conjuring: Beyond Fear, with preview dates starting Sept. 12 ahead of Halloween Haunt later this month.

For anyone in Toronto or the GTA looking for an easy fall day trip, the two events offer very different reasons to head north: food, rides and live entertainment during the day, or a separately ticketed horror experience for those ready to start Halloween early.

Oktoberfest takes over Canada’s Wonderland on Sept. 11–13 and Sept. 18–20 and is included with regular park admission. The event features German-inspired food, beer, polka music, street performers and other live entertainment.

Food highlights currently promoted by the park include:

Bratwurst
Chicken schnitzel
Warm pretzels
German chocolate cake

Beer options include Germany’s Paulaner along with Toronto brewery Steam Whistle. Visitors can also pair the festival with the park’s rides and attractions during their visit, subject to daily operations.

That makes Oktoberfest feel less like a separate festival and more like an extra fall experience added to a regular Wonderland day.

The Conjuring: Beyond Fear Gets an Early September Preview

For something much darker, The Conjuring: Beyond Fear is returning to Canada’s Wonderland.

According to a Canada’s Wonderland media advisory provided to Over Here Toronto, early previews are scheduled for Sept. 12–13 and Sept. 19–20 from 1 to 7 p.m. These preview dates take place before Halloween Haunt officially begins Sept. 25.

The attraction puts guests in the role of paranormal investigators navigating an experience inspired by New Line Cinema’s The Conjuring Universe. The park specifically references encounters with supernatural entities including Annabelle, along with a mission involving cursed artifacts.

The experience lasts nearly 20 minutes and requires a separate ticket. Tickets are currently advertised from $30 per person, plus a processing fee of up to $9.99 and applicable taxes. Park admission is not included in that price.

Is The Conjuring Suitable for Kids?

Probably not for younger children.

Canada’s Wonderland says the attraction includes intense violence, death and disturbing imagery and recommends it for guests aged 13 and older. Parental discretion is strongly encouraged.

Halloween Haunt Starts Sept. 25

The early Conjuring previews lead into Halloween Haunt 2026, which runs on select nights from Sept. 25 through Nov. 1. Canada’s Wonderland says this year’s event includes haunted mazes, scare zones, hundreds of monsters, live shows, night rides and The Conjuring experience.

There is one ticket detail worth knowing before buying.

Regular park admission provides access to Halloween Haunt on eligible dates, but the park’s haunted mazes require a Haunted Attractions Pass, currently starting from $10 plus fees and taxes. The Conjuring is not included with that maze pass and requires its own ticket.

Know the Chaperone Policy Before You Go

Canada’s Wonderland’s chaperone policy is in effect daily beginning at 4 p.m.

Guests 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or chaperone aged 21 or older. Each qualifying chaperone can accompany up to 10 guests aged 15 or younger.

Halloween Haunt is also not recommended for guests under 13. Since entry, costume, bag and re-entry rules can change by operating day, visitors should review the park’s latest policies before heading out.

Tricks & Treats Brings Daytime Halloween Fun for Families

Families with younger kids have another option beginning the following weekend.

Tricks & Treats runs on select days from Sept. 26 through Nov. 1 and offers the park’s more family-friendly daytime Halloween programming. Canada’s Wonderland currently lists Tricks & Treats alongside its fall events included on eligible park-admission dates.

Which Canada’s Wonderland Fall Event Should You Pick?

For a daytime trip with friends or family, Oktoberfest is the easiest fit. You can grab a pretzel or schnitzel, catch the entertainment and still make a full park day out of the visit.

If Halloween is already on your mind, The Conjuring: Beyond Fear gives horror fans an earlier start before the full Halloween Haunt season arrives.

Either way, check your date first. Canada’s Wonderland’s fall events run on different operating days, and add-ons such as The Conjuring and haunted mazes are not automatically covered by regular admission.
