Rosso Pasta Bar Is Planning A September 19 Opening At The Well
Rosso Pasta Bar is preparing to open its first counter inside Wellington Market at The Well, bringing fresh pasta, gelato and espresso to downtown Toronto. As of September 11, Rosso’s official website says only “Opening September 2026” and still says the business is not open yet.
The exact opening date is not consistent across current sources. The Well’s official directory lists “Grand Opening – SEPTEMBER 14,” while a September 1 report from 6ix Retail says Rosso plans a Saturday, September 19 grand opening with a giveaway for the first 100 guests. Rosso’s own website currently gives only the month, saying the counter will open in September 2026 at The Well. It also invites visitors to join a waitlist for launch-day news and says, “We are not open yet.”
However, The Well’s official Rosso Pasta Bar directory page currently lists a September 14 grand opening. Separately, 6ix Retail reported on September 1 that the broader launch would take place September 19 after an earlier soft-opening target, with construction and permitting affecting the timeline.
Until Rosso publishes a matching date across its own channels, the safest wording is that the pasta bar is preparing to open in September.

Rosso’s official website says the concept will serve pasta pulled to order, gelato spun on site and freshly extracted espresso. The Well’s directory adds that Rosso makes its fresh pasta daily and describes the concept as a modern, fast-casual take on Italian food.

Rosso’s public website currently promotes fresh pasta, gelato and espresso, but it does not display an itemized menu with prices. For that reason, exact dish prices should not be published unless Rosso provides a current menu or another primary source that clearly shows them.
6ix Retail reports that the final lineup will include five varieties of tiramisu alongside pasta, gelato, espresso, coffee and lattes. The report also says the founders worked with food consultants and culinary-school chefs while developing the recipes.
The First Independent Concept
6ix Retail identifies Raja Jay and Karthiga Raja as Rosso’s co-founders and describes the business as their first fully independent concept. The publication reports that the couple previously operated Pet Valu franchises before creating Rosso as their own brand.
