Air Canada Adds New Nonstop Routes From Toronto to Oslo, Shannon and Nice
The airline’s Pearson expansion also brings back a daytime London flight, increases Shanghai service and makes Guatemala City year-round.
Toronto travellers will have three new nonstop options to Europe next summer. Air Canada is adding Oslo, Shannon and Nice to its Pearson schedule as part of a wider expansion at its largest hub.
Three New Routes to Europe
- Oslo: Four flights a week beginning Jun 2, 2027, operated with an Airbus A321XLR.
- Shannon: Three flights a week beginning Jun 10, 2027, also operated with an Airbus A321XLR.
- Nice: Two flights a week beginning Jun 16, 2027, operated with an Airbus A330-300.
Each service is seasonal, and the published schedules may change before departure. Flights are already available for purchase through Air Canada and travel agents. Air Canada says the timings are designed to support connections through Pearson from across North America. For Toronto passengers, the additions put Norway’s capital, Ireland’s west coast and the French Riviera on the nonstop map without adding a European transfer.
London, Shanghai and Guatemala City
Air Canada will also restore its Toronto–London Heathrow daytime flight. The morning departure allows travellers to cross the Atlantic during the day and arrive in London that evening. It will be the carrier’s fifth daily Toronto–London frequency and is planned as a year-round service.

The airline’s Toronto–Guatemala City service will become year-round. Together, the changes push Pearson’s Air Canada network beyond 150 destinations across Canada and international markets.
Aircraft and Schedule Notes
The Oslo and Shannon routes are tied to Air Canada’s new Airbus A321XLR fleet, with lie-flat seats in the Signature cabin. Nice will use the larger Airbus A330-300 with Signature, Premium Economy and Economy cabins.
The airline also expects its first Toronto-based Boeing 787-10 aircraft near the end of the year and says further network announcements will follow.

The Oslo route remains subject to government approval, and all schedules are subject to change. Travellers should confirm operating days, connection times and fare rules on the official Air Canada announcement or booking site before purchasing. Because the new European services are seasonal, return dates and weekly frequencies matter when planning longer trips.
