The Beaches International Jazz Festival will take over Toronto’s east end from July 4 to 27, 2025. As Toronto’s biggest free music festival, it attracts over 800,000 visitors annually and features performances across multiple venues, including Woodbine Park, Jimmie Simpson Park, and Queen Street East.

A Celebration of Music and Community

Since its launch in 1989, the Beaches Jazz Festival has become a summer tradition, celebrating jazz, Latin, house, and other musical genres. Attendees can enjoy a mix of concerts, drag shows, food trucks, fundraisers, and street performances.

Key festival highlights include:

  • Sounds of Leslieville & Riverside (July 4-8): A kickoff event with live jazz, food, and culture.
  • Salsa on the Beach (July 11-13): Toronto’s largest celebration of Latin music and dance.
  • StreetFest on Queen St. E. (July 24-26): A massive street festival featuring live music and food vendors.
  • Weekend Series at Woodbine Park (July 25-27): A grand finale with headlining acts and a retro hip-hop party.

More Than Just Jazz

The festival offers drag performances, food trucks, and charity events like the Tune-Up Run, which supports local nonprofits. Music fans can enjoy performances while taking in the lakefront breeze of Lake Ontario.

The Jazz Festival has a history of supporting Canadian musicians, with legendary artists like Larnell Lewis and Morris Kaufman making their mark. This year’s event will continue that tradition, offering a platform for emerging talent.

Admission is Free

As a not-for-profit organization, the festival remains free to attend, making it accessible to all. It also boosts Toronto’s economy, providing a platform for local businesses and brands to connect with visitors.
