Taste of Vietnam Festival Returns to Toronto with Food, Fashion, and a Purpose (July 24–26)

Get ready, Toronto — the Taste of Vietnam festival is back this summer, bringing three days of flavour, fashion, and community spirit to Nathan Phillips Square. Now in its fifth year, this free cultural celebration isn’t just about incredible street food (though there’s plenty of that). It’s also a heartfelt tribute to Vietnamese heritage, artistic expression, and social awareness.

Celebrate Love in All Forms

Running from July 24 to 26, 2025, this year’s theme is “Everlasting Love – The Infinity of Love in All Forms.” From family bonds to friendships and community ties, the festival shines a spotlight on the stories that connect us.

You’ll find more than just pho and banh mi here. This is a full-on cultural showcase packed with music, dance, traditional fashion, and educational exhibits. Expect crowds, colourful outfits, and an unmistakable buzz in the air.

What’s Happening at Taste of Vietnam 2025?

1. Vietnamese Street Food Galore
Craving authentic pho, mochi, or Vietnamese tacos? You’re in luck. Food vendors like Pho Ginger, Premium Banh, Los Vietnamita Taqueria, Hanoi Foodie, and Marry Me Mochi will be serving up mouthwatering dishes all day long. And yes, there will be a beer garden.

2. Live Music and Performances
The lineup blends old and new. Traditional Vietnamese folk songs share the stage with modern music and dance. You’ll hear the soulful pluck of the đàn tranh and the thumping beat of contemporary artists.

3. Ao Dai Parade & Cultural Fashion Show
One of the festival’s highlights is the Ao Dai Parade, a dazzling display of Vietnam’s national dress. The fashion show features ethnic designs, regional styles, and modern takes on tradition — all while supporting an important cause.

4. Arts, Crafts & Interactive Family Fun
With art booths, lantern workshops, and kid-friendly zones, families can engage hands-on with Vietnamese culture in a laid-back, educational way.

5. Advocacy and Awareness
At its core, Taste of Vietnam also exists for a higher purpose — raising awareness around human trafficking and child exploitation. Festival-goers can visit informational booths, support advocacy partners, and learn how culture and activism can go hand-in-hand.

A Celebration That Feeds More Than Your Appetite

What sets this festival apart is its heart. You’ll come for the food and fun, but you’ll stay for the spirit of unity and compassion. The organizers work year-round to support empowerment programs and community outreach for the Vietnamese diaspora in Canada.

Whether you’re Vietnamese-Canadian, a foodie looking for something new, or simply a Torontonian eager to embrace culture downtown, this is one summer festival worth marking on your calendar.
