Toronto’s biggest birthday celebration is back. Celebrate Toronto 2025 takes over Nathan Phillips Square on Saturday, April 5, from 3 PM to 10 PM. This one-day festival will bring together live music, food stalls, a local marketplace, and a spectacular fireworks show to mark the city’s 191st anniversary.

What to Expect at Celebrate Toronto 2025

This annual event highlights Toronto’s diversity, culture, and creative talent. Whether you’re visiting for the music, shopping, or food, there’s something for everyone.

Live Music and Performances

Enjoy a full lineup of Toronto-based musicians and DJs performing throughout the day. Mc Flipside, SHOUT!, and Mike Don’t will take the stage, delivering a mix of soulful grooves, electronic beats, and jazz-inspired performances.

  • Mike Don’t (3:00 PM – 5:30 PM) – Known for mixing pop, R&B, and classic throwbacks.
  • Mc Flipside (5:30 PM – 7:00 PM, 9:05 PM – 10:00 PM) – A Juno-nominated DJ and producer with global recognition.
  • SHOUT! (7:00 PM – 8:45 PM) – A jazz and New Orleans-inspired group blending tradition with contemporary sounds.

Fireworks Show at 9:00 PM

The festival will conclude with a fireworks display at 9:00 PM, lighting up Toronto City Hall. Stick around after the show for Mc Flipside’s closing DJ set.

Toronto Made Market

Support local businesses at the Toronto Made Market, a 6,000 sq. ft. space featuring over 150 vendors. Find handcrafted goods, art, fashion, and specialty items made by Toronto’s emerging creators.

Food and Drinks

Toronto’s food scene will be on full display, with 25 food stalls serving a mix of global flavors and local favorites. From street food to gourmet bites, the festival has plenty of options.

For those 21 and over, the licensed Glow Bar will offer a selection of local craft beers and spirits, featuring drinks from Lost Craft, Local Spirits Distilling Co., Dejado Tequila, Coco Rum, and Coco Vodka.

Outdoor Skating at Nathan Phillips Square

Lace up your skates and hit the iconic outdoor rink. Skate rentals will be available on-site, making it easy for everyone to join in.

Interactive Experiences

Festivalgoers can explore hands-on activities, contests, and special exhibits, including:

  • Aga Khan Museum Exhibit – See historical artifacts and participate in arts and crafts inspired by the museum’s collections.
