Lotto Max Jackpot Hits $70M + 10 MaxMillions

The spotlight is on Lotto 6-49 this Saturday, May 3, as its Gold Ball jackpot reaches $58 million. This is on top of the game’s $5 million classic prize, bringing the total to $63 million.

The Gold Ball draw follows a unique system: it begins with 29 white balls and one gold. Each week without a jackpot winner removes one white ball, increasing the chances of drawing gold. If the gold ball is drawn, the player wins the full jackpot. If it’s a white ball, the winner takes $1 million instead.

This growing pot has added momentum to Lotto 6-49’s popularity heading into the weekend.

Lotto 6-49 Gold Ball Jackpot Climbs to $58M

On Saturday, May 3, the Lotto 6-49 Gold Ball jackpot rises to $58 million. If a white ball is drawn, the prize is $1 million. But if the gold ball is picked, the winner takes the entire progressive jackpot.

In addition, the classic Lotto 6-49 jackpot remains fixed at $5 million, pushing Saturday’s total prize pool to $63 million.

Alberta Winners Continue Their Streak

According to the Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC), Albertans have been particularly lucky. In 2024, 55 Alberta players claimed $1 million or more, totaling $237.3 million in prizes. Calgarians alone won $108.3 million across 22 winners.

One standout was a Manitoba man who won $40 million from a ticket he purchased while working in Alberta.
