Happening July 12–13 at Trillium Park, this free summer event celebrates culture, music, art, and community with one of the most inclusive and energetic lineups of the season.

Now in its seventh year, Mixto Festival is curated by Uma Nota Culture, a Toronto-based organization known for its vibrant programming and community-driven events. The festival name says it all—Mixto means “mixed” in Portuguese and Spanish, and that mix is at the core of everything here: Afro-Brazilian beats, Caribbean rhythms, Arab melodies, Latin house, hip hop, and more.

Set against the backdrop of Lake Ontario, the festival serves up a rich blend of live performances, DJ sets, art installations, food vendors, and craft booths. Whether you’re here to move to the music or lounge with lakefront views, there’s something for everyone.
