Toronto’s Silent H is opening its first U.S. location in Manhattan
One of King West’s busiest Mexican spots is packing its bags for New York. Silent H, the restaurant founded by brothers Patrick and Nader Marzouk, plans to open its first U.S. location in Manhattan on November 24, 2026.

The new spot lands at 420 West 13th Street in the Meatpacking District. It marks the brand’s first move outside Canada, just over three years after the original opened in Toronto.
For Toronto diners, it’s a bit of hometown pride. The H may be silent, but the brand is making plenty of noise south of the border.

From King West to the Meatpacking District
The Marzouk brothers opened Silent H in Toronto in June 2023. Since then, the restaurant has built a following for its modern take on Mexican food, inventive drinks and lively room.
Manhattan is a big step up in competition, and the founders know it. Patrick Marzouk, the brand’s founder and CEO, calls the New York opening a defining moment for the team.
“We built Silent H in Toronto with a vision to create something that goes beyond dining,” he said in the announcement. The goal, he adds, is to bring what they built in Canada to an international crowd.
The brothers also see the New York opening as a base for more U.S. growth down the road.
What’s on the menu in New York
Chef Gerardo Álvarez Saucedo leads the kitchen. His cooking draws on Mexican street food and pays tribute to Monterrey, reworking family recipes with more refined techniques and premium ingredients.
The signature dish is the Espadas de Rib Eye Asadas, grilled rib eye skewers presented tableside. On the New York menu, they come over bone marrow with recado negro and chile chimichurri.
Other dishes on the posted menu include a guacamole made with charred serrano and garlic, a mixed ceviche with mahi mahi, octopus and scallops, and pork belly al pastor tacos. For bigger groups, there’s a 44 oz mesquite-grilled tomahawk.
The menu is built for sharing, and the restaurant says the lineup of contemporary dishes will keep evolving.
Cocktails inspired by Mexico’s landscapes
The drinks get just as much attention as the food. Beverage director Spencer Gooderham built the cocktail list around Mexico’s coastlines, deserts, jungles and mountains.
Expect plenty of technique behind the bar. The team uses fat-washing, clarification, infusions and aromatic smoke to give each drink some extra theatre.
Two highlights stand out. Oaxaca’s Order mixes coconut-washed Patrón Añejo with Ilegal mezcal, ancho, agave and mole bitters, finished with mesquite smoke. Seeking Cenotes pairs Patrón Silver with St-Germain, lychee and strawberry under a coconut matcha foam, with a palo santo ritual on the side.
The menu also lists mocktails, a margarita tree for groups, beer and wine.
A win for Toronto’s restaurant scene
It isn’t every day a Toronto restaurant makes the jump to Manhattan, so this move is worth watching. It also adds to a growing list of homegrown hospitality brands with international plans.
The Toronto room isn’t going anywhere. Silent H continues to operate at 461 King Street West, so local diners can still grab a table close to home.
