Toronto Outdoor Picture Show 2025: Free Outdoor Movies in Parks All Summer Long
Nothing says summer in Toronto quite like watching a movie under the open sky—and this year, the Toronto Outdoor Picture Show (TOPS) is back for its 15th anniversary with one of its most exciting lineups yet. From June 12 to August 24, parks across the city will transform into outdoor cinemas with free screenings that blend nostalgia, community vibes, and cult classics.
15 Years of Outdoor Magic
This year’s theme, “When We Were Young,” is a heartfelt nod to the festival’s roots. It brings back the coming-of-age focus that launched the very first TOPS season. Expect stories about growing up, navigating identity, and moments that shaped us—from childhood to adulthood.
The curated lineup spans generations and genres. You’ll find everything from Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet and Clueless, to newer favorites like Past Lives and I Saw the TV Glow. Some titles are charming, others bittersweet—but all fit the mood of self-reflection and shared nostalgia.
Where and When to Watch

Another new feature: those who donate $15 or more can vote on the closing night film, screening August 24 at Christie Pits. Support keeps the festival free and accessible, so donations are highly encouraged.
What to Bring and Know Before You Go
- Admission is free and no tickets are needed

- Pets are welcome—just clean up after them
