Rethink House Pop-Up Brings Workshops, Shopping and Community to Toronto This October

The month-long 390 Dupont Street space previews Rethink Breast Cancer’s planned permanent clubhouse while marking the charity’s 25th anniversary.

Toronto’s October calendar is getting a new one-month stop for workshops, movement classes, shopping and community events. The Rethink House Pop-Up will open at 390 Dupont Street from October 2 to 31, giving visitors an early look at a larger gathering space that Rethink Breast Cancer plans to establish in the city.

Rethink’s official FAQ lists drop-in hours from Wednesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The organization says everyone is welcome, including people navigating breast cancer, rebuilding after treatment, learning about breast health or supporting someone in their circle. Some programs have limited capacity and require advance registration.

A one-month preview of the permanent Rethink House

The pop-up is part of Rethink Breast Cancer’s 25th-anniversary programming and a working preview of the permanent Rethink House, which the organization expects to open in 2027 or 2028. The planned clubhouse is intended to support connection, movement and life beyond a breast cancer diagnosis.

At the Dupont Street space, that idea takes practical form: visitors can drop in for coffee, learn about Rethink’s programs, join scheduled activities and see how the permanent location could operate. The pop-up is powered by TELUS. Rethink says it is aiming to raise $250,000 through the month to help fund the future House, including a “brick by brick” installation tied to commemorative prints by Canadian artist Aly Rosenzweig.

Workouts, workshops and a Mahjong night fill the calendar

The release lists Saturday workouts alongside pottery and flower-crown workshops, while Rethink’s pop-up events calendar is the source to check for the latest dates, capacity and registration requirements. The schedule mixes educational sessions with lighter social programming, reflecting the House’s focus on everyday connection as well as cancer support.

One confirmed event is Tiles & Tatas Mahjong Night on October 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. The American Mahjong session is listed at $25 plus ticketing fees, with room for 24 experienced players and light snacks and drinks included. Other events may have separate costs or eligibility details, so visitors should check individual listings before going.

The 25 for 25 Collection spans fashion, beauty, home and food

Shopping is a central part of the pop-up. Rethink’s 25 for 25 Collection brings together products from 25 Canadian partners, with participating brands including Joe Fresh, Jenny Bird, Smythe, 19/99 Beauty, Barbet and Village Juicery. The contribution to Rethink varies by product: some partners donate all net proceeds, while others contribute a fixed amount or percentage.

The range starts with a $12.99 Kitchen Stuff Plus mug and a $25 Joe Fresh T-shirt, then extends to jewellery, beauty products, homewares and higher-priced fashion pieces. Food and drink collaborations include a $13.95 Raspberry Pie smoothie from Village Juicery and Barbet’s limited Boobet can. Some items are exclusive to the pop-up; others will be sold online or through participating retailers.
