Canada’s Wonderland Welcomes One Billionth Rider in Park History
Canada’s Wonderland has reached a major milestone after welcoming its one billionth rider since opening.
On July 30, 2026, Annabelle S. from Kingston, Ontario became the park’s billionth rider during a ride on Thunder Run.She visited the park with Kim S., John S., and John Jr. The group received the surprise announcement at the Thunder Run station.
Park President Christopher Mortensen announced the milestone over the ride’s speaker system. Snoopy also joined the celebration and greeted the family.Canada’s Wonderland presented the group with a special prize package. It included park merchandise, return visit tickets, and Fast Lane Plus vouchers.

A Milestone Built Through Billions of Rides
Since opening in 1981, Canada’s Wonderland has welcomed guests from across Canada and beyond.
Millions of visitors have ridden the park’s roller coasters, family attractions, and children’s rides over the past four decades.

Among all attractions, Dragon Fyre holds the highest total ridership. The coaster has welcomed 45.7 million riders since the park opened.
Thunder Run also holds a special place in the park’s history. The ride originally opened as Blauer Enzian before moving into Wonder Mountain in 1986. It has now recorded 36.6 million riders.
Canada’s Wonderland’s Most Popular Rides

Several major attractions recorded impressive numbers during the 2025 season.
The park’s highest-ridership roller coasters included:
- Leviathan: 1.48 million riders
- Behemoth: 1.35 million riders
- Yukon Striker: 1.28 million riders
Meanwhile, Psyclone led the park’s flat rides with more than 550,000 riders during the season.
Today, Canada’s Wonderland features more than 200 attractions, including:
- 18 roller coasters
- Two children’s areas
- Splash Works water park
A Story Written by Generations of Guests

The one billionth rider milestone represents more than a number.
It reflects decades of visits from guests who have returned for summer trips, birthdays, school outings, and annual traditions.
Each ride, visit, and guest has contributed to Canada’s Wonderland’s history.
