A controversial concert by U.S. Christian rocker and prominent MAGA musician Sean Feucht will no longer take place at a Parks Canada site near Halifax, following security concerns and public backlash. Despite the revocation, Feucht confirmed that the show will continue at a new venue in rural Nova Scotia.

Permit Revoked Over Public Safety Concerns

Feucht was originally scheduled to perform at York Redoubt National Historic Site on Wednesday night. The site, dating back to 1793, sits at the entrance of Halifax Harbour and is managed by Parks Canada.

In a statement issued late Tuesday, Parks Canada announced the cancellation, citing “evolving safety and security considerations.” The agency noted growing concerns from residents and input from law enforcement regarding the potential for protests and logistical challenges at the historic site.

Parks Canada clarified that it was not organizing the event, and that the permit was issued to an outside organizer. After reassessing the risk to visitors, staff, and the surrounding community, the agency opted to revoke the permit.

Residents, Protesters Raised Concerns

Many locals opposed the event due to Feucht’s political and social views, which include anti-2SLGBTQ+ rhetoric, opposition to abortion rights, and criticism of critical race theory. Protesters had planned to demonstrate at the concert, arguing the performance contradicted Parks Canada’s commitment to inclusion and public safety.

Concert Moves to Religious Property

On Wednesday morning, the concert’s event page confirmed a new venue: 338 Crombe Rd. in Shubenacadie, N.S., about 60 kilometres north of Halifax. The property is linked to Lighthouse Ministries, a Christian religious group.

Feucht addressed supporters in a video on Facebook, accusing critics of intolerance while defending the right to gather peacefully. “This is not the hour to cower… The show’s going on, baby,” he said.

Launch of “Revive in 25” Tour

The Halifax-area concert marks the first stop of Feucht’s “Revive in 25” Canadian tour, which aims to promote Christian values through music and prayer. He will perform in Charlottetown and Moncton on Thursday, then head to Quebec City, Ottawa, and Toronto over the weekend. Organizers have scheduled Western Canada tour dates for late August.

Feucht, who previously ran for U.S. Congress in 2020, has built a following by blending worship music with right-wing political advocacy. His events often spark debate over freedom of expression versus community values and inclusion.
