Hockey fans will have the opportunity to hear from some of Canada’s top athletes during The Next Shift.
The live panel will focus on resilience, mental health, and the challenges athletes face throughout their careers.
Hosted by Planet Fitness and Hockey Canada, the event takes place on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.

Canadian Hockey Voices Share Their Stories
The evening will feature athletes and experts who understand the pressures of high-performance sports.
The panel includes:
- Emily Clark — Olympic and World Champion
- Tyler McGregor — Paralympian and World Champion
- Dr. Beth McCharles — Mental Performance Consultant
Meanwhile, Jamie McCormick from The GIST will guide the conversation.
Together, the speakers will discuss their journeys through competition, setbacks, and personal growth.
The discussion will look at the mindset behind athletic success. It will also highlight the importance of mental skills both on and off the ice.
