First Look at “Avatar: Seven Havens” Reveals New Earthbender Hero
Nickelodeon has released the first look at “Avatar: Seven Havens”, the highly anticipated sequel to “Avatar: The Last Airbender” and “The Legend of Korra”. The series was unveiled at the San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the beloved franchise.
New Earthbender Avatar Takes Center Stage
Set after the events of “The Legend of Korra”, “Seven Havens” follows the story of Pavi, a young Earthbender who discovers she is the next Avatar—a figure capable of mastering all four elements: air, water, earth, and fire. However, this Avatar has a much darker journey ahead. Instead of being hailed as a savior, she is seen as a threat to humanity, hunted by both humans and spirits.
The show is set in a world devastated by a cataclysm, where Pavi and her twin sister must uncover their mysterious origins while racing against time to save the Seven Havens, the last known strongholds of civilization.
First Art Reveals Pavi and Her Mentor Jae
At Comic-Con, Bryan Konietzko, co-creator of the Avatar franchise, revealed the first official artwork of Pavi and her mentor, Jae. This marks an exciting new chapter in the Avatar world, introducing a new generation of characters. Konietzko also confirmed that Jeremy Zuckerman, who composed music for the original series, would return for “Seven Havens”.
Konietzko highlighted that while the series will maintain the familiar Avatar tone, the art style will be different, offering a fresh perspective while still capturing the magic of the original.

The Return of Avatar’s Legacy
The new series will focus on Pavi’s growth as the Avatar, navigating the weight of her responsibilities while confronting personal and external challenges. The show will also delve into themes of identity, family, and the balance of power between spirits and humans.
“Seven Havens” is just one of many Avatar projects in the works. Bryan Konietzko also teased the upcoming “The Legend of Aang” feature film, set to premiere on October 9, 2026, and promising stunning 2D animation with deep canvas environments.
