When Teofilo moved to Toronto three years ago, he encountered significant challenges in navigating the PATH. “There’s no detailed map out there,” he explained. After spending weeks trying to find efficient routes, he realized many signs lacked clarity, leaving users uncertain about directions.
As a software engineer, Teofilo decided to create a solution. Collaborating with a friend in Brazil, he started developing the app. The project involved extensive fieldwork, with Teofilo walking 15 kilometers every weekend to map the pathways. Over eight months, he gathered data, photographed entryways, and created a detailed navigation tool.
