Paul McCartney to Open TD Coliseum With First Hamilton Show on November 21
Hamilton’s newly renovated TD Coliseum will reopen with music royalty this fall: Sir Paul McCartney. The former Beatle will kick off the venue’s new chapter as part of his Got Back 2025 North American tour.
First Act at Revamped TD Coliseum
McCartney is set to perform in Hamilton on November 21, making it the first concert at the 18,000-seat arena since its major renovation. Aside from two shows in Montreal, it’s the only Canadian stop on the tour.
TD Coliseum General Manager Nick DeLuco called the opening night a “bold new chapter” and said hosting McCartney reflects the level of acts the venue now aims to attract. The venue promises a career-spanning, high-energy set filled with Beatles hits, solo classics, and Wings favorites.
About the 2025 Got Back Tour
The Got Back Tour officially launches on September 29 in Palm Desert, California, and wraps on November 25 in Chicago. This leg adds 19 more shows to the tour, which began in 2022 and has since reached fans across Australia, South America, and Europe.
U.S. stops include Las Vegas, Denver, Minneapolis, New Orleans, Nashville, and Atlanta. Canadian fans can catch him in Montreal on November 17 and 18, before he arrives in Hamilton.

A Historic Return for Hamilton
Originally opened in 1985 as Copps Coliseum, the arena was later known as FirstOntario Centre. Its large-scale renovation, announced in 2022, will be complete by the end of 2025. The official renaming to TD Coliseum was revealed in June.
McCartney’s performance marks not only a major tour stop, but also a symbolic reopening for one of Ontario’s most iconic venues.
