Doors Open Toronto 2025: Fan-Favourite Sites Return After Six Years

Doors Open Toronto 2025 is back this May—and it’s bringing some long-missed icons with it. Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 24 and Sunday, May 25, when more than 150 buildings across Toronto will open their doors free of charge. This year’s theme, “Play,” invites visitors to explore the city through music, performance, sports, and community.

Fan Favourites Return for the First Time Since 2019

Two long-anticipated landmarks—Old City Hall and the historic Don Jail at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital—are back on the list for the first time in six years. The Don Jail, known for its distinct 19th-century architecture, will offer a rare self-guided tour through spaces usually closed to the public.

Old City Hall, a downtown heritage site, will welcome visitors once again with its gothic towers and council history on display.

New Additions to Explore in 2025

This year’s newly added locations include:

  • Ubisoft Toronto
  • Spin Master Headquarters
  • St. Lawrence Market North
  • Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto (MOCA)
  • Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre
  • OCAD University
  • YZD Experience Centre

Expect walking tours, behind-the-scenes access, and interactive installations designed to reflect this year’s playful theme. From architecture and design to gaming and music, the lineup spans a wide range of interests.

City Hall Programming and Interactive Events

Toronto City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square will serve as the main hub, offering family-friendly programming, cultural performances, and access to rooms like the Council Chamber, Mayor’s Office, and the new Spirit Garden, in collaboration with Toronto Council Fire Native Cultural Centre.
